In this novel, Virginia, a middle-aged, recently dumped woman spots her ex-boyfriend. She goes through the different scenarios of how to approach him but impulsively hides in the back of his Jeep. Not only does she take his journey but she travels through the failed relationship seeking closure. I think anyone who's been dumped can relate to the inexplicable desire to see how the ex is living. Virginia is a very real character and at times she's hard to root for. But the journey is well worth taking.
