My horoscope for today is... accurate. Because there was Junior Exhibition this evening, I didn't come home from school, I stayed there to do major correcting. So it seems appropriate to get a horoscope telling me to find balance.
I knew, though, that with grades closing it was a now or never prospect. Since I needed to be at school in the evening, didn't it make more sense than sacrificing a day this weekend? That doesn't mean to say that I won't have to go in over the weekend, but it isn't going to be because of needing to get grades finished up. I *should* be able to finish tomorrow. I did a holy crapload today.
I know there is no one to blame but myself for scheduling a major writing project due date the day before the major chapter test for all the classes I teach. I know, I know. You can't change the chronology of history; and it isn't like I could hold off the assessments though. Meh. If we had kept to the original schedule this would be the first week of the fourth quarter, and I still would have the same amount of grading to do. Now I have to be efficient about it.
Oh, the life of a high school teacher. Especially one who spent thirteen hours at school today. What am I still doing up??
