I saw this yesterday and, like you, paid attention this morning to what I have always done by rote. Pants, socks and shoes -- all left first. I'm wearing a sweatshirt, so both sleeves went on at the same time. Provocative question … now I wonder how many other things I do every day while on automatic pilot.
