Fantastic movie--lush scenery, gorgeous costuming and the acting is top notch! The story is a bit heavy and is not told sequentially but it isn't hard to follow.
The book was very painful. I couldn't even read it (despite repeated attempts) but had to listen to it (over many days) through an audible book. I want to see the movie ONLY if it won't be as hard to live with in my memory. This is not to say that I regret having had the experience.

I loved this, too. It stayed with me a long time after it was over. Very moving. Glad you liked it, too.
