On the way home at about 3:45, I was really peeved that a car pulled out in front of me onto the highway while I was at full speed. I was ranting to myself about inconsiderate drivers and how much I hate this stretch of the drive, blah, blah... when I looked to the right and saw a gorgeous sky.
I looked at the sky and let go of being peeved at the driver. I looked at the sky and appreciated the soft blue-violet and the sun going behind the horizon. I looked at the clouds. I looked at the jet leaving its trail as it flies overhead en route to Europe.
By the time I got home I had forgotten I was peeved. I had a real nature moment. This is why I live at the end of the earth.
And yes, the sun was going below the horizon because there are a lot of hills, it wasn't quite sunset.

Nice! I'm happy this happened to you; every once in a while we need that kind of reminder to just look around...
Lovely... Reminds me once again why I need to get out of New York City. (Maybe someday I will).
