need advice...

Any movie rental suggestions?

The only genre I don't watch are slasher gorefests.

Oh, my GOD! There are SO many movies that I haven't seen that I want to! Here are the ones that I've PURCHASED but haven't even watched yet:

Notes on a Scandal (I've heard this is all-caps EXCELLENT)

Children of Men

Babel

Tsotsi

Hotel Rwanda

Blood Diamond

Shooter (I've seen this one in the theatre, and LOVED it)

I also wanted to see The Queen, but never checked that one out, either. I've avoided my video rental place specifically because they run what I call "looting sales" where they sell used DVDs five for $20, and I just can't resist. Buying DVDs that I don't have the time to watch does not comply with my New Year's goals...

Let us know what you decide to watch, then give us a review!

Love!

We recently watched and liked:

Hitch (girl movie, I know)

Hot Fuzz (funny)

Balls of Fury (ping pong comedy)

Hope this helps!

I just finished watching Premonition! Though it was a little odd & somewhat disturbing at times, I really enjoyed it!

Some of my favorites from the past few years:

Failure to Launch
Evan Almighty
Diary of a Mad Black Woman
Madea's Family Reunion
Big Momma's House
Big Momma's House 2
Mission Impossible: 1-3
Radio
Hitch
The Green Mile
Red Eye
Flightplan

That's just a few of the ones that came to mind! As you can tell, I mostly love 'chick flicks' and comedies.

Hope this helps! Have a great weekend!

Hi, Kwizgiver :-)

Have you seen:

Glory Road (excellent!)

The Devil Wears Prada

The Right Stuff (It's an oldie but a goodie)

Storm of the Century (VERY good movie. It's Steven King, but not a "slasher/gory" movie.

May I suggest...

Stardust (I loved it)
Waitress (really cute)
Lifeboat (old Hitchcock)
Once (got rave reviews)

I've got a lot of reviews on my movie blog at http://endo-media.blogspot.com, too.

Hope that helps!
