It was very odd to NOT go back to school today. This is the third snow day we've had, which... wowzer... last year we didn't have one snow day. I dread these days being tacked on to the end of June. bah!
Although it was very cold and windy today, I'm not so sure we should have canceled school completely. Maybe a delay but not so sure about a complete day off. Besides, tomorrow is supposed to be even colder than today.
Imagine what the kids will be like tomorrow--a two-day week coming back from holiday break. Oy.
Oh, and to add to the fun, tonight is the town rival basketball game. Goody-goody!

Cancel school, but keep the game on! This is the first time in a while that I haven't had to go back on the 2nd. LOVING it. We start the 7th. I can't imagine starting back with a two day week. Good luck!
I was WONDERING whether you were going to school today. There were 108 cancellations and delays in our state, but our district wasn't one of them. I think we've ALREADY used our built-in allotment of snow days - any more and I fear the girls will be in school until the 4th of July!
How much snow DID you get up there? We're sitting in about a foot (on top of the eight or so inches we already had). We set a record for the snowiest December ever. Yay. Four more months until April...
I'm not sure the exact total--what I do know is that it's the 2nd of January and we've had more snow than we had all winter 2007. Egads!
I just couldn't bear to go in to work today. So I didn't. I called in "sick." Meaning I admitted to my boss (or more accurately his voice mail) that I was just wiped out by the flights back from Key West on New Year's Day. I grocery shopped and did laundry. Does that count as productive.
So you and I both have a two-day week ahead of us. Here's hoping our short week doesn't feel long … and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
