Snow in the morning...then snow showers in the afternoon. Blowing snow. Snow may be heavy at times in the morning. Additional snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches with a storm total of 10 to 14 inches. Brisk with highs in the upper 20s. Temperature falling to around 18 in the afternoon. North winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Chance of snow near 100 percent.

... Major winter storm will continue to affect all of northern and downeast Maine this evening into early Tuesday...

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 12 PM EST Tuesday...

Expect snowfall totals of 8 to 14 inches. In addition to the heavy snow... north winds will increase to 15 to 25 mph with gusts over 30 mph later tonight and Tuesday. This will cause significant areas of blowing and drifting snow with near whiteout conditions possible.

This storm will have a high impact on the warning area. A combination of heavy snow and gusts up to 35 mph will create very hazardous conditions. Visibilities will frequently be less than one half mile in falling snow with occasional blowing and drifting snow causing near whiteouts.
