I joined a challenge called Holidailies... to blog every day from December 1st until January 1st.
I love wrapping presents. Seriously, I love to wrap. What is up with that? But the fresh, colorful paper, the smell of tape (yes, go ahead and give it a sniff--that's the smell of childhood), colorful ribbons and bows; straight corners, tight paper and beautiful packaging. I love it. Looks are everything when it comes to the right gift.
Once upon a job, I worked part time at a really nifty gift store in town. During the holidays I loved wrapping presents. It always amused me that I could work a three or four hour shift and just hang out wrapping presents and get paid for it. That was my job. And it's a skill to get quick at it when demanding and grumpy shoppers are taking advantage of our wrapping policy. Sometimes finding the correct box was a bit of a challenge but wrapping and having the packages look "just so" made it worth while to me.
Who doesn't love a wrapped present with lots of ruffly ribbon on it?
