I had a writing lab assistant teacher in class today to work on the World War I writing project. She wrote a note to me and started the note by saying she needed to write it because she thought she would get emotional trying to say this: my teaching, my ability to connect to all the students in class and my ability to break the project down to its bare bones was something to behold. Wow, what a wonderful piece of feedback to get from a colleague. I was moved to read her note. Oh, my gosh... it was a fulfilling moment and I was thrilled on the inside.
Later, I told her that now she knows what I'm saying when I give similar feedback to her--as I am her writing lab assistant...
It was some kind of wonderful.
what if this is as good as it gets?
