Postsecret is a community art project where people send in their secrets on homemade postcards. Some are serious, some are humorous, but it is easy to see why and how people connect to each other by viewing the gallery.
Each week I like to post one that jumps out at me.

I chose this one because the news all weekend has been focusing on sexual misconduct by teachers in public schools. This shocks me. On so many levels. I really don't understand how an adult can look at a child and have sexual thoughts and impulses. And I guess I don't really want or need to know. What annoys me is that all teachers are suspect--that because a few perverts (and this is the literal meaning of the word pervert) create skepticism of adults who genuinely love children and love the process of education. This
article in the Salt Lake Tribune has a great graphics section, map and sidebar both, in an article that includes information about an AP 7-month study.
So, I appreciate this secret... but it makes me very curious.
