PostSecret is an ongoing community art project where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a homemade postcard. Every week I like to post one that speaks to me--this week more than one jumped out at me. Go take a look for yourself.

Check out PostSecret--it's cool, inspiring, painful, funny, jaw-dropping, honest. I LOVE the books and think it would be powerful to see the art show in person.

I loved the one about miserable and happy. I wish more people understood how much control they have over how their lives go....
I don't understand the one about miserable and happy. Or more accurately I don't understand why someone would actually put effort into being miserable. I completely understand how sometimes we humans can get sad over something... like the day I found out Blossom was cancelled, it ruined me for the next 7 months, almost 8 months, all I did was cry for Mayim Bialik and Joey "Whoaaaaaa" Lawrence. All I wanted is for them to be on the screen for me each week but no more. IT HURT SO MUCH :(
But I got over it, it took awhile, but the hurt passed. I didn't need to put any effort into that pain. It was so natural and I suspect most of America felt the same way. So I just don't understand why anyone would want to actually put effort into being miserable. Makes no sense to me... just like the cancelling of Blossom.
I think my sister sent in the toliet paper one.
I think she's done that to her hubby before!
