uhmmm...

Was it really necessary for President Bush to invoke the 25th Amendment for his colon fun? For as much as I like to joke about Bushie, the idea of Cheney as President (even for three hours) frightens me. Truly frightens me.

Is this going to flag the Secret Service or Homeland Security or something now? Because... well... whatever. I'm just a gal questioning whether this is as good as it gets. Or not.

Yeah, it really was needed. If terrorists struck America at the time Bush was anesthetized, if it was essential for immediate presidential orders to be made, with a president under anesthesia, should the nation just wait until he's fully aware while potentially something escalates and more lives are endangered?

While many of Cheney's actions have been super duper questionable, he's not a complete corrupt idiot. In a time of crisis, we have to believe he'd make the right decisions if the president was not able to.

And I'm going to respectfully disagree with you. I don't believe Cheney would make the right decisions for our nation. Not for our nation as a whole.

The Iraq bombing is/was the evidence I need.

I know way too much about way too many famous colons, and I really think that this could have been handled very quietly without making it into a ginormous discussion.

Wait, no, we HAVE to talk about ridiculous things so that we can ignore the really important stuff: getting out of Iraq, health insurance for children, getting out of Iraq, Katrina, getting out of Iraq, how much money is left in our Social Security accounts, getting out of Iraq, why gas prices are so high, getting out of Iraq, how much money the administration has made off their policies, getting out of Iraq...
