1. Alana... it was just as we were leaving the tea shop and I had her jot down her phone number for me--and we also gossiped for a moment. Hey, I'm not perfect--sometimes I want to revel in the downfall of others.
2. Unusually hot and humid for NoMe: in the upper 80s with 70% (or higher) humidity. Misery, I'm in misery.
3. Drowning in a pool of sweat, methinks.
4. It's too hot to eat. Seriously, I'm that whiny and affected by the heat/humidity.

I hate the heat here, too. When I travel, I hear people "tsk, tsk" about Chicago winters. Chicago winters are fine! It's the sticky, humid summers. The air's so thick you could wear it, and everyone (including me) is short-tempered. I'd prefer a cold, crisp November morning.
Sorry to sound ignorant, but it's that hot in Maine?
