Despite mild surfacetemperatures around 40 ahead of the snowfall... evaporationalcooling of initial precipitation in very dry low level air anddynamic cooling from aloft due to higher precipitation rates willresult in precipitation beginning as snow or rapidly transitioningto snow after a brief period as rain and snow mix at the onset.Snowfall could become moderate to heavy late tonight. Motoristsshould be alert for rapidly changing Road conditions from dry towet late this evening... to snow covered with patchy ice late tonight.
