1. solitude both helps and hinders me--I spend a lot of time by myself so I am used to solitude; professionally, some of my most creative work has been done in groups... so my answer is both. It sort of depends on what type of creative pursuit I'm after.
2. hands-down: Dad... the older I get the more I realize I am my father's daughter. (and that's a good thing)
3. eternal optimism
4. usually a list of what I will accomplish that day. I don't overload the list, I like it to be accomplishable (if I may make up my own word)
