Full moon mania

Wowzer! It's Friday, I survived the week. This I'm so excited to have survived the full moon. If anyone ever, ever ever ever doubts the effect of the full moon on human behavior, they only need to spend time at the nearest high school to see it played out in all its glory. Not only is it the full moon, there was a thirty-degree difference in temperature from this morning at 6 o'clock to this afternoon at four o'clock, it's the first school dance of the year AND grades closed today for Progress Reports. Just too much for them to handle. And probably too much for most of us poor teachers to handle.

I'm glad I am not chaperoning. That's all I can say. I cannot imagine trying to pry the hormonally challenged apart as they get their groove on. Oy!

Because I missed so many days of school lately, I am a bit behind in correcting, grading and creating my progress reports. I'm not sweating it out, though, I guess I had kind of expected I would be spending time at school this weekend. I've got to finalize my plans for the week, including planning for the substitute on Thursday. There will be lots of other teachers there, too. And even some of the gasket blowers will be there... I'll close my door and crank the music. That usually keeps them out. I can't imagine why everyone thinks I'm such a computer guru. I mean... I guess I have figured out a few shortcuts and things with the grade book program but it's not that I'm a guru, I just know pushing buttons isn't going to hurt anything. So, I click on this and click on that to see what happens. I've had less training than anyone else! But they keep asking me to help. *shrug*

The Harvest Break countdown is on. Four school days left. Three for me. One of those is a testing day.

Things are on the way to getting as good as it gets!

I'm glad you had a good week and you have a break coming. And please for your own health, don't get between hormonally challenged folks. :P
