how to have influence

I'm sharing this graphic with my former students who are feeling vulnerable because of the election results. As first-time voters, they were very excited to take part in the process. I'm encouraging them to use their passion and emotion to take action. Get involved with civic causes. To write their congressional representatives. To be watchful and involved in what's going on in the nation. They can have some level of influence, not just during election seasons.

I think that is a wonderful idea. For all of us. Not just the students!

I'm hearing a lot of stories locally about children being bullied because some think it is ok.

My nephew was an election judge. He was so thrilled to participate -- even though his beloved Bernie wasn't the nominee. He was even more thrilled when IL was called for Clinton. It breaks my heart to think of how disillusioned he is. Thank you for this. I want to foster his idealism and involvement.
