Sunday Stealing: Consider Yourself Meme


1) Of the various cultures, ethnicities or nationalities you belong to, which most strongly do you consider yourself? I realize I'm mostly French (Canadian) but I love my Irish side
2) Is there a culture you cannot claim heritage from but which you feel quite close to? I love all things Irish
3) What's one language you wish you knew fluently? Latin
4) If you could move anywhere in the world and be guaranteed a job, etc., where would you go? Ireland
5) If you had a time machine, and could witness any one event without altering or disturbing it, what would you want to see? a president's inauguration
6) Have problems sleeping? always
7) Are you free with your feelings? I think so
8) What is the one outfit/piece of clothing/accessory you own that makes you feel incredibly good whenever you wear it? Why? I have a pair of jeans that I love
9) What do you do to make yourself feel better when you're in a funk? read or knit or go for a drive
10) Has anyone ever surprised you in a way that let you know you were special? How? my friends gathered for lunch to celebrate my birthday and I had no clue they were all going to be there
11) When you are having a "good day," how do you spread the happiness to others? I think I'm more talkative and inquisitive
12) What is one thing that puts you in a bad mood, no matter how good you were previously feeling? parent teacher conferences
13) Would you rather live in a world with or without technology such as computers, cars, airplanes, bombs? oh--with technology
14) If you had to live without either heating in your house or air conditioning, which one would you keep? ha--I already don't have air conditioning
15) If you had to own five dogs, what kind would you get? I would rescue dogs from the local shelter

Having been on the parent side of the parent/teacher conference far too many times, I can tell you those always put me in a bad mood, too. Maybe they should just do away with them since nobody likes them and I can't say anything ever really got resolved at the ones I had to go to.

I've watched Obama accept the Presidency twice -- first at Grant Park and then McCormick Place -- and there is something absolutely thrilling about watching history being made in real time. So which Presidential Inaugural do you have in mind?

Jeans that fit are the best. No doubt about it.
