Thing one: the library book group's discussion of Cher's memoir was a lot livelier than I expected. It was a lot of fun--plus, there was a LOT of material to cover.
Thing two: it's been an emotional week. Seniors are realizing that the end is near, stirring up mixed emotions. Underclassmen are choosing classes for next year, which is always frustrating and a bit of a clusterfuck if I'm being honest.
Thing three: a very dear friend sent me flowers for Teacher Appreciation Week. She's a former teacher, so she knows what this time of year is like.

Until this very moment it never occurred to me that teacher appreciation week comes at what can be a difficult time for teachers. Thank you for opening my eyes.
