ten things tuesday

Ten things:

1) I feel like a really shitty teacher because one of my students got frustrated in class, shut down, and started crying. I just couldn't explain the assignment in any way that made sense to her. I was frustrated with myself and felt like a shitty teacher.

2) It's Library Book Group week--we read The Stranger In The Woods about a hermit in Maine. No reading group guide so I'm going to struggle to lead a discussion.  😨

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions,
including during the morning commute on Wednesday. Expect
reduced visibilities at times.

4) There was state-mandated testing today--it's always in my wing of the school, which means I'm unceremoniously booted out of my classroom for the duration of testing. What a hassle. It reminds me of my days as a "traveling teacher" when I didn't have my own classroom all day.

5) I need to email my dad. Haven't heard from him since Easter. He usually emails every day. Although, he's been spending a LOT of time on Facebook.

6) It's a good thing I'm wearing patterned pants today because I spilled my lunch all over my lap. Doh.

7) I'm about to finish my audiobook, Tangerine. Can't wait to find out how it ends.

8) I've been taking advantage of my local market's fresh salad bar. I love a big bowl of salad for supper.

9) I'm ready for some ice cream. I've been craving it all day. Started with a milkshake craving around lunchtime and now it's full-blown ice cream craving.
