Curious as a Cat

1) Do you think you’d be a good writer? What kind of writer would you like to be (fiction, children’s books, magazine, etc.)? I think I would be a good observational essayist (like Erma Bombeck but not as funny).

2) I wish I had enough money to ________. plan another trip to NYC to see my friend John in his Broadway play.

3) If you had to enter a competition for the "Most Uselessly Unique Talent," what would your talent be? exasperated sighing

4) When it might hurt their feelings, how do you feel about telling your friends the truth? I am very diplomatic

5) Peanut or plain? usually peanut

6) Is there someone you would like to take your place in life for one day? Who and why? I would like a politician to take my place for a day to see what teachers really do

7) What do you think is the ugliest thing or event on Earth? war

8) What is your least favorite of your personality traits or quirks? I've been thinking about an answer to this question for about five minutes... I would say it's from OCD--the sense of everything being wrong or off if I don't follow routine

9) I wish I could see ________ because _________. my eldest niece (because) she's expecting and I would love to pamper her

10) Tell us your favorite children's story. I really love The Little Prince

11) What do you keep in the trunk of your car? a camp chair, a blanket, some wrapping paper, an emergency kit, windshield washer fluid

12) Describe your perfect, rainy afternoon. it doesn't have to be rainy--but I would read, knit, nap in no particular order

13) Tell us about your favorite way to get lost in a simple activity — running, chopping vegetables, folding laundry, whatever. What’s it like when you’re in "the zone"? I love being in the zone, losing track of time and being lost in my thoughts

14) What parts of nature do you like best? the not winter parts

15) What's the kindest act you have ever seen done (either to/by you or another)?
last week one of my students helped another student who was struggling to accomplish the assignment, he was so kind about it.

How exciting to know someone in a Broadway play!
Exasperated sighing. I have a feeling anyone who works with kids or has kids gets to be good at that after a while. LOL

I've heard of that play! Does your friend know Mr. Monk?

Did you love The Little Prince as a child, or did you come to love it as an adult?
