invigorated

I had my first Reiki session yesterday and I'm still feeling the energy from it today. Walking in, I expected it to be kind of New Agey and an energy and chakra balance treatment. Almost a touchless massage.

The practitioner, April, couldn't believe I have never had it done before. She said I have "powerful, great energy" and that she hasn't ever had a new client so reactive/receptive to it. I could feel the energy change in my body. I was sluggish when I went in and dreading the plans I had made for the evening because I would have rather stayed home and gone to bed early but part-way through, I could feel the energy shift and it was like a second wind with an extra dose of motivation. I was up for an evening out. My friend remarked that I seemed more energized than I have been in a while.

At one point, April rested her hands on my shoulders and we both felt a give (I don't know how else to describe it--it was a physical melting of tension) and then I felt my whole body surge with energy. I feel like I'm talking hoodoo voodoo woo, but it was a specific feeling.

I feel invigorated, motivated, and confident.
