The Heat of the Moment

1) What's something you did or said "in the heat of the moment?" probably something somewhat snarky to a student

2) Asia's founder and bass player, John Wetton, passed away in January. One of his bandmates remembered him as a reliable performer who made everyone around him look better. Do you enjoy being the center of attention? Or would you, like Mr. Wetton, prefer to play a supporting role? I'm an extroverted introvert (ambivert) so I can go with either

3) Asia is a British band who played their first US concert at Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York. The nearest major city -- Ottawa, Canada -- is a 90-minute drive from Pottsdam. When you were last in the car for an hour or more? Where were you going? I was heading north (yes, there is an hour north of here) to Fort Kent, Maine, which is the northernmost point of Route 1 to meet up with the Breakfast Club

4) The song refers to disco hot spots, which apparently, by 1982, no one wanted to go to anymore. Let's make that negative into a positive. Describe your perfect night out with friends. Where would you go? we would go somewhere for a delicious dinner and lengthy conversation

5) In 1982, the year this song was popular, someone laced bottles of Tylenol with cyanide. That's why we now have tamper-proof caps on many products. Have you used anything in a tamper-proof bottle yet today? now that I think of it, no, I haven't used one yet

6) In 1982, Time Magazine's Person of the Year wasn't a person at all, it was "the computer." What do you use your computer for most often? noodling around, communicating with my family, and creating content for school

7) 1982 also saw the premiere of The Weather Channel. Where do you learn the day's weather forecast? (Watching the local news on TV, checking your phone, looking out the window ...) usually the app on my phone, looking outside, and cursing the local weather man on TV

8) In 1982, Arnold Schwarzenegger's movie, Conan the Barbarian, was a hit in theaters. When you settle down to watch a movie, is it usually a fantasy, like Conan? Or do you prefer another genre (action, comedy, adventure, romance, drama, classic ...) I don't actuallly watch a lot of movies--I mean, I have 10 or so on my DVR that have been there for almost a year

9) Random question: What is something you try to avoid? chores

The thing I do best is avoid chores.

I also hate chores.
If they ever invent a robot to do them I buy it right away no matter what the cost

I had no such idea that there is a such thing as an 'extroverted' 'introvert'. All this time I was choosing to not interact with certain people... :)

"Ambivert" is a great word. And now it is mine.

I am definitely an introvert. Sometimes I just need a hug but then I'm good for quite a while.

I love that there are tons of us who hate chores.
Yuck.

The kids do make it hard to hold one's tongue at times, don't they? I've nearly bitten mine off at times.

I am an ambivert, too.

I don't watch a lot of movies, either. At least not mine. My husband is usually in control of the remote so there are a lot of movies on that I couldn't care less about.

Chores. Good one!

I don't like chores either!

Another ambivert here. Oh ugh. Chores! Dusting is so needed here, and I'm allergic to dust.

I like your answer to #9. I try to avoid doing the bathroom chores. I don't mind the others but the bathroom can get kinda of nasty.

Hope you have a great day.
