7. What dates from 2016 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? July 1 was the culmination of a whirlwind NYC trip and buying a car

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? successfully negotiating a kickass contract

9. What was your biggest failure? I chickened out of visiting an ailing mentor figure

my car

26. What did you want and get? a backstage tour of the St. James Theater--we got to meet the dressers and wig masters, the sound director and several other people whose jobs I forget

I celebrated my birthday for at least a week and I turned 51

rediscovering my passion for 80s music

35. Who did you miss? my Virginia sister and her family as well as my oldest nephew

36. Who was the best new person you met? my oldest nephew's wife, well, we haven't met in person yet but we've been in contact and I feel like I know her
