musing mondays

Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…

• I’m currently reading…
• Up next I think I’ll read…
• I bought the following book(s) in the past week…
• I’m super excited to tell you about (book/author/bookish-news)…
• I’m really upset by (book/author/bookish-news)…
• I can’t wait to get a copy of…
• I wish I could read ___, but…
• I blogged about ____ this past week…

Does reading help you to release stress during stressful times? If it does do you have a favorite book that you return to for calm?

Reading lets me escape stress, depending on the type of book I'm reading--let's say it's not a thriller!

Hi, I haven't been doing Musing Mondays, I miss it but I cut down the days I blog to get more peace in my life, and knit more. So I think I'll just comment on your blog instead! I'm reading " Last Chance to Run" by Diana Love. It's free on Kindle https://www.amazon.com/Last-Chance-Run-romantic-thriller/dp/0988607948. I'm loving it, it's mostly Suspense, but I think the Romance might be percolating, and about to boil. Here's my blog on my knitting and reading last week http://lovelyyarnescapes.blogspot.com/2016/12/wednesdays-yarn-along.html. Usually I finish a book a week, it's a good read so that must mean I'm just so engrossed in my knitting, I'm forgetting to read. And yes without reading I do stress. Reading is my stopping point, where everything else disappears.

I agree about escapism, maybe it's just me, but I've gotten that from thrillers too haha. (Here's my post: http://twobirds1blog.blogspot.ca/2016/12/blogmas-2016-day-12-musing-monday-debut.html)
