musing mondays

Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…

• I’m currently reading…
• Up next I think I’ll read…
• I bought the following book(s) in the past week…
• I’m super excited to tell you about (book/author/bookish-news)…
• I’m really upset by (book/author/bookish-news)…
• I can’t wait to get a copy of…
• I wish I could read ___, but…
• I blogged about ____ this past week…

This week’s random question: Name any 5 books from your “to be read” pile (even if it’s a “virtual” pile).

Links go to Goodreads:

1) Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty. To be released in July. I love her books!

2) Highly Illogical Behavior by John Corey Whaley. Described as a quirky coming of age story.

3) The Summer Before the War by Helen Simonson. I won this in a Goodreads giveaway. I loved her book, Major Pettigrew's Last Stand, so I'm looking forward to this one set in 1914.

4) The Transcendental Murder by Jane Langton, it is described as an old-fashioned murder mystery. And it's set in Concord, MA, centered on the transcendental writers--supposing their correspondences.

5) Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. This might languish on my TBR for a while. And I might listen to it. I think it's a dystopian fantasy, which is not my typical genre.

Aren't "giveaway" books the best? I'm a member of Amazon Vine, and getting those books always makes me so happy (even if reading them may not).
