green

I was driving to school this morning, admiring all the shades of green from the variety of blooming and blossoming trees, fields, and plants. Shades of green as far as the eye can see. I wanted to take a photo, but I couldn't capture the subtle differences and all the hues. I forget that not everyone sees what I see every day.

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
~Thank you, Robert Frost!
