A fun, cozy mystery featuring Patricia Ann "Mouse" and her sister Mary Alice. Lots of southern charm and snappy dialogue. The first of the series. Quick read.
Love, love, love these books! Mouse and Aunt Sister are so well drawn and the mysteries are just mysterious enough. (I used to alternate these with Cornwell/Scarpetta, which are always shudderfests.) The author passed away shortly after finishing the last book in this series and I wonder if she knew the end was near. She tied up all the non-mystery family stories so neatly and satisfyingly ....
