Little Red Corvette

1) The subject of this song is frankly sexual. Do you blush easily? as I get older, I blush less often. But I'm a fair complected red head, so yes, I blush

2) Prince is his real name (Prince Rogers, to be exact). Growing up, his relatives called him "Skipper." Do you have any nicknames within your family? I was just having this conversation the other day--that no one who knows me after 1989 calls me by my nickname. My family all do, and my very close friends do... but that's really about it. When I graduated high school, my classmates were shocked to realize I had a full name because I was always called by my nickname.

3) Prince says he's "obsessed" with Mozart and reads whatever he can find about the composer. What's the last book you read? I am listening to the new JK Rowling book: The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith. The narrator is wonderful.

4) Between Prince and The Beach Boys, the Corvette is a much sung-about car. Tell us about your vehicle. I drive a 2007 Ford Taurus which is dark gray and the interior needs a good cleaning.

5) In the 1980s, when Prince was popular, MTV could turn a song into a hit. In 2014, how do you hear new music? sometimes I'll put on VH1's Top 20, but usually social media is how I learn about new bands

6) In 1982, when "Little Red Corvette" ruled the airwaves, Braniff Airways shocked the travel industry and threw passengers into chaos by declaring bankruptcy. When did you last fly? Did your trip go smoothly? my last flight was in April 2001, before all the drastic changes in flight. It was a very smooth flight and I made all my connections in time.

7) 1982 is also the year Disney opened Epcot. Have you ever been to a Disney park? I haven't

8) 1982 is the year Cheers premiered. The sitcom was set in a bar where "everybody knows your name." Tell us about your favorite local bar or restaurant. I used to go to Al's Diner every Sunday but since they have new ownership, it's lucky if I go every other month. I don't like the waitresses now. And fun, friendly waitresses were the reason I kept going.

9) The 1980s were considered a highpoint in professional tennis, with Jimmy Connors and John McEnroe dominating the sport. Do you play tennis? This is kind of freaky--I had a dream last night that I was playing tennis!!! I used to play until I started a medication that caused weight gain. When I was young (high school/college) I could hold my own.

I hope the Gilbraith books are better than Rowling's Casual Vacancy. I couldn't get into that book at all.

the only time I blush is when I have a hot flash....at least my face feels like it is blushing.

HAH! I'm with Banker Chick - I have full body blushes all the time. LOL
I've heard good things about the Galbraith book, I may have to check that one out, too!

When we first took my kids to Disney it was $32. Then it went up to $38 and we went crazy. Now it's around $100. Not sure if I would do it again at that price.

I need to check out that book too. Aren't dreams weird? Funny you just dreamed about playing tennis!
