Walk This Way

1) This song is about a young man who takes advantage of his "big chance at a high school dance." Share a memory from your high school years. Sophomore year we went on the annual Biology Field Trip to coastal Maine, sleeping on the hardwood floor at the YMCA. The purpose of the trip was to study life on the coast and we had scavenger hunts of tide pools and other activities. We also had a talent show that was more memorable than touching live starfish. I'm sad the school no longer does the trip. It was the first time a lot of my fellow students had ever been to the coast.

2) Lead singer Steven Tyler is the son of a working mother (mom Susan was a secretary). Did your mother work outside the home? my mum was a stay at home mum. But she died when I was six so I'm not sure if she would have re-entered the work force or not, although I suspect not.

3) Onstage, Tyler takes colorful scarves from around his neck and drapes them over the microphone. Do you accessorize your outfits with scarves and belts? Or do you prefer to keep things simple? I love scarves and necklaces

4) Tyler confessed to having a massive crush on Jennifer Lopez, his fellow judge on American Idol. Do you think a coworker has ever had a crush on you? not in my current job

5) Aerosmith lead guitarist Joe Perry says seeing The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 inspired him to go into music. How did you end up in your chosen profession? my college adviser told me to

6) Perry's hobby, breeding horses, is very lucrative. What are your hobbies? reading, knitting, and sloth

7) Aerosmith performed before their biggest-ever TV audience when they played the Super Bowl halftime show in 2001. Are you a football fan? If so, do you prefer college football or the NFL? What teams do you root for? not particularly a fan of any sport although I do enjoy them... I'm a New England fan for all teams

8) Now that we're into summer, the days are longer. When is the last time you watched the sun set? watched one? oh, that's been awhile

9) What time did you go to sleep last night? too late... around midnight

Your college counselor knew what he was talking about!

Your sophomore trip sounded fun. We had senior trips but I didn't go...cost way too much money for my family

I live the hobby of Sloth. I have never heard it put that way.

My high school counselor told me to go into the trades because I wasn't cut out for a profession... so much for encouraging words.

I like that word Sloth. I might adopt that myself.

Your high school trips sounds like so much fun.

And of course, yes, sloth is my hobby too. ;-)

That's so sad about your mom.

I can't remember what any guidance counselors told me to do. Probably a good thing...

Wow, I have another hobby I can add to the list! :)

You lost your mom even younger than I lost mine; I'm so sorry. :(

Had to laugh about sloth being a hobby, though! hee.
