Today's prompt: Share your favorite holiday recipe. Where / when did you first try it?
The first thing that popped for me with this prompt is Chex Mix. Original Chex mix. I remember my aunt made it and the whole family devoured it at a Christmas Eve gathering at my grandmother's. I don't remember what year it was, but it has become a holiday staple. Sometimes I have made it using different cereal (like Crispix--do they even make that anymore?) but I really love the traditional mix. I linked to the original mix above. I remember for awhile in the 90s, some company put out a seasonings pouch which cut the process even more. I haven't looked for the seasoning pouch for a while, I'll have to check it out now that holiday food and baking displays are up and around.

We love this as well...and always at Christmas!
Yum...always loved this. We always made it with a nice kick of cayenne pepper....
Yes, they still make Crispix. I used it for puppy chow not too long ago. Then I switched back to chex.
Now I am in the mood to make this.
