Today's prompt: Share your favorite holiday recipe. Where / when did you first try it?

The first thing that popped for me with this prompt is Chex Mix. Original Chex mix. I remember my aunt made it and the whole family devoured it at a Christmas Eve gathering at my grandmother's. I don't remember what year it was, but it has become a holiday staple. Sometimes I have made it using different cereal (like Crispix--do they even make that anymore?) but I really love the traditional mix. I linked to the original mix above. I remember for awhile in the 90s, some company put out a seasonings pouch which cut the process even more. I haven't looked for the seasoning pouch for a while, I'll have to check it out now that holiday food and baking displays are up and around.

Yes, they still make Crispix. I used it for puppy chow not too long ago. Then I switched back to chex.

Now I am in the mood to make this.
